The Addams Family features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

Teens 12-18 take the stage in this one-week intensive camp to learn blocking, choreography, musical numbers, and perform in a production of The Addams Family on the Wilcox Mainstage at Prescott Park! Students get a feel of what it is really like taking part in a summer stock theatre company! A partnership between Prescott Park Arts Festival and Upside Arts, Camp ENCORE! nurtures self-confidence and creativity of each camper through singing, dancing, acting, visual arts, and technical theater while rehearsing a full show.

The Addams Family (School Edition) runs August 3rd-4th at Prescott Park Arts Festival (105 Marcy St, Portsmouth, NH 03801). Showtimes are Saturday and Sunday at 10:30am. Performances are by donation, with table and blanket reservations available for an additional fee.
