Bye Bye Birdie (Young Performers Edition)

December 29 - 30, 2018

Pippin Square.jpg

A loving musical send-up of the early 1960’s, small-town America, teenagers, and rock & roll, Bye Bye Birdie remains as fresh and vibrant as ever. Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted, so he chooses all-American girl Kim McAfee for a very public farewell kiss. Featuring a tuneful high-energy score, plenty of great parts for kids, and a hilarious script, Birdie remains one of the most popular shows in schools across the country. Hit songs include “Put on a Happy Face”, “One Last Kiss”, “One Boy”, “A Lot of Livin’ to Do”, “Kids!”, and “Rosie”.

Bye Bye Birdie runs December 29th & 30th at the Star Theatre, located at the Kittery Community Center, 120 Rogers Road in Kittery, Maine. Showtimes are Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are $10 general admission, and can be purchased below or by calling the Star Theatre Box Office at 207-439-3800.
